Neurosurgeon to join Geisinger-Community Medical Center

pugsleySCRANTON, Pa. – Stanley G. Pugsley, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.S, will join Geisinger-Community Medical Center on Dec. 1 as a neurosurgeon.

Prior to joining G-CMC, Dr. Pugsley spent five years as a resident at the New England Medical Center, Boston, leaving in 1988 as the chief resident of neurosurgery. Since 1998, he was a neurosurgeon at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, New London, Conn., where he also served five years as the chief of the section of neurosurgery.

A 1977 graduate of Boston College, Dr. Pugsley received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, in 1981. Among other professional organizations, he is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
