Brian Murray, M.D., recently joined Geisinger-Community Medical Center (G-CMC) as a gynecologist.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Murray spent three years as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Georgia Health Sciences University, Augusta, Ga. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2009 after completing medical school at the University of the Americas, Nevis West Indies, in 2005.
Dr. Murray is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. He has also served as the chairman of the perinatal quality control committee at Georgia Health Sciences University where he also served on the education committee for the department of obstetrics and gynecology.
An active researcher, Dr. Murray was the recipient of the 2005 Dean of Clinical Medicine Award at the Medical University of the Americas. He also received the Excellence in CREOG award at the Medical College of Georgia in 2009 and the CREOG National Faculty Teaching Award from the Georgia Health Sciences University in 2011.
