Do you live alone, or have parents or loved ones with a fear of falling? “A Matter of Balance” is an award-winning program designed to manage and prevent falls while increasing activity levels. Based upon research conducted by the Roybal Center for Enhancement of Late-Life Function at Boston University, this program addresses the fears of falling and teaches fall prevention strategies.
“A Matter of Balance” is a series of eight, two-hour sessions for groups of 10-12 participants. The activities include group discussion, problem-solving, skill building, assertiveness training, sharing practical solutions and exercise training.
