Program Description
The Basic Cardiac Life Support Renewal Course is intended to offer the person who has had the course to renew the knowledge and skills acquired in the Provider Course. The new guidelines will be taught in this course which includes teaching the AED.
Location
CMC School of Nursing Building. All classes are held here at CMC.
Audience
All Healthcare Providers who are due for renewal.
Prerequisite
Pre-registration and payment in advance. Person must have had the Healthcare Provider Course
YOU WILL RENEW YOUR SKILLS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS THAT ARE APPROPRIATE TO YOUR LEVEL OF CPR:
- Adult CPR and the Obstructed Airway Sequence
- Two man CPR
- Infant/Child CPR and the Obstructed Airway Sequence
- Use of a pocket mask
- Bag mask
- Use of an AED
Pre-registration and payment of fee is required in order to reserve space. Arrangements must also be made to pick up the book in advance of class. A study guide will be included because of the new guidelines. If you would like a new book, the cost is separate from cost of class. Class size is limited.
