Gifts to Community Medical Center Healthcare System help ensure the hospital’s high-quality services and programs far in the future. Each gift, regardless of size, is deeply appreciated and makes a difference. Your gift helps us to continue providing the best healthcare possible for our community.

  • General Purposes
    Your unrestricted gift to Community Medical Center System is used where the need is greatest throughout the hospital.
  • Your Restricted gift can be earmarked for
    • Equipment
    • NEPA Regional Trauma Center
    • Cardiovascular Services and Heart Program

  • Direct Gift Options
    • Gifts by cash, check or credit card are the easiest and most direct way to benefit Community Medical Center Healthcare System.
    • Appreciated Securities, Life Insurance, Personal Property and Real Estate.
  • Deferred Gift Options
      • Leave a Legacy—The 1897 SocietyThere are several ways to benefit Community Medical Center Healthcare System beyond your lifetime that allow you to leave a legacy of philanthropy and support for the health of our community.Charitable Bequests are the simplest way to make a planned gift to Community Medical Center Healthcare System. If you already have a will, a simple supplement can be added. If you have not yet written your will, contact an attorney to assist you. Having your will prepared by an attorney and executed according to state guidelines is essential.

    Listed are four suggested ways to leave a legacy:

      • A percentage of your estate
      • Specific dollar amount
      • Residue of your estate refers to whatever is left after other bequests have been granted.
      • Specific property includes paid-up insurance policy or other financial investments.
  • Establish a Trust in Your Will
    • A charitable remainder trust can be set up in your will to provide income to a spouse, child or other individual. This enables you to provide family members not only with the security of a steady income, but also professional investment management. This gift can yield significant estate tax savings, enabling you to pass on more to your heirs.

Individuals who document their bequests with Community Medical Center Healthcare System will be recognized in The 1897 Society. The 1897 Society is the planned giving society established by Community Medical Healthcare System to recognize caring individuals who help support its mission. Your willingness to be listed as a member of The 1897 Society encourages others to follow your example. Members also have the option of remaining anonymous.

 

  • Tribute Gifts
    You can honor or remember a loved one by making a tribute gift to Community Medical Center Healthcare System. Tribute Gifts are particularly special because in addition to honoring a friend or loved one, your gift also helps Community Medical Center Healthcare System.

    • Honor Gifts
      This type of gift is a perfect way to celebrate or acknowledge a special occasion or event. Perhaps you would like to honor a physician or a special care provider. A tribute gift is a thoughtful way to honor someone special.
    • In Memory of a Loved One
      Upon a death of a loved one you may choose to extend sympathy to family and friends with a tribute gift to Community Medical Center Healthcare System.

The Fund Development Office acknowledges the contributions with a letter and promptly notifies the family that thoughtful tributes were received. (A gift amount is not revealed).
